Building A Miter Saw Station
For this miter saw station, we built two floating cabinets with plenty of drawer space for our festool systainers. There is a trash can for scraps and a small drawer for miscellaneous items we use while in the shop. It really cleans up the shop and organizes the space well!
Thank you to FastCap for giving us the tools to make this possible!
Hope you enjoy!

Making A Sign

Built this sign as a birthday present for my little brother and had a lot of fun making it! I used a single maple board that had a semi live-edge, that I then jointed together. I then cut out and painted MDF letters and pinned them to the board. The aqua color against the maple really gave this project some pop! This is exactly what I'm looking to build in my shop. Can you tell me if it's warped over time and how it's straightness has held up? I like the idea of doing a stripped core like you have to reduce weight but was wondering if that would make it easier to flex or warp?

  • @geoffhickin7000
    @geoffhickin7000 3 роки тому

    Anyone thinking of doing this with the Kreg router lift should note that the radius of the curved corners on the router plate are much larger than the router bit used to cut them. It's a characteristic of the Kreg that results in an unfortunate gap at the corners if you just cut them with the router.

    • @airman9820
      @airman9820 Рік тому

      Yes Kreg says to use a one and a half inch bit to drill corners out then router the rest. That gap would drive me nuts.

      Because at the time I didn’t have much floor space to dedicate to just one footprint. And this would be easier to move around in a smaller shop. Since then I’ve upgraded to a commercial building and I still feel like this is a perfect size to move around when needed.
